I had a decent stay at Romena Grand Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was fantastic, just a short walk from the South Gate night market. However, the service left something to be desired, particularly with the daytime desk clerk’s attitude, which was off-putting.

The room I stayed in was large with a queen bed, nice table and chairs, and plenty of outlets. It had a clean and quiet atmosphere, but the air conditioning couldn't be controlled very well.
Service

The nighttime staff was friendly and accommodating, but the daytime clerk could definitely benefit from some training in hospitality. I encountered issues when asking for a receipt for my cash payment.

The hotel’s location was perfect. I loved how close it was to the night food market and other attractions, making it easy to explore the area. It's also near shops like 7-11 and local pharmacies.

Breakfast was okay, nothing too fancy, but it was sufficient to start the day. I also appreciated the option for hot wok dishes available at their restaurant, even though it was closed during my visit.

My stay at the Romena Grand Hotel was a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to attractions and markets, but the service left a bit to be desired. I had some issues during check-in and with cleanliness. Overall, it had its highlights, but there was room for improvement. 😊

Rooms

I stayed in a large room with a queen bed and a nice view of the city and mountains. However, the air conditioner blew directly onto the bed, which was uncomfortable, and I had to take the key to turn off all electricity, including the fridge.
Service

The daytime desk clerk could use some training in hospitality, as she was a bit brusque and didn’t provide a receipt for my cash payment, which felt shady. However, the nighttime clerk was friendly and accommodating.

My stay at Romena Grand Hotel was a mixed experience. The location was fantastic, with easy access to local markets and other attractions. but the service left much to be desired. While I appreciated the spacious room with a nice view, I had some issues with cleanliness and the air conditioning positioning.

Rooms

The room was large and offered a lovely view of the mountains, with amenities like a wardrobe, fridge, and a long counter desk. However, the air conditioner's direct airflow onto the bed was quite uncomfortable. and the bathroom could definitely use some renovations.
Service
5.0
I was quite disappointed with the reception desk service. One staff member was notably unhelpful, not providing a receipt for my cash payment and asking for a deposit for an extra key without issuing a receipt. The nighttime clerk was much nicer but it didn’t fully compensate for the earlier experience.

The hotel’s location is perfect. very close to the city center and within walking distance of the South Gate market, local restaurants, and convenience stores. I appreciated being able to explore the area before check-in.
